August 2026 – A Message from our CEO, Scot Laney
Dear Member,
I’m pleased to share an important development in the future of Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. Starting tomorrow, the Museum will become the North American Aerospace Museum (NORAM).
Our new name reflects how far the Museum has come and where we are headed. Over the last 25 years, what began as a private aircraft collection grew dramatically into a cherished public resource dedicated to preserving and sharing the extraordinary stories of aviation, space exploration, innovation, and the people behind them. Our supporters have played a key role in that and for this I thank you all! Our ambition for your museum is significant: to become one of the finest aerospace museums in the world for donors like you, and guests from all over the world.
The name North American Aerospace Museum more clearly expresses our mission. We believe NORAM will provide greater clarity about who we are and what our supporters and visitors will experience when they are here. As always, we will remain focused on serving the public through our educational programming for all ages.
As we move forward, we respect and recognize the history represented by the Evergreen name, particularly the important roles of Del and Michael King Smith in establishing this remarkable institution. We are excited to build upon their legacies while creating an identity that will carry the Museum forward for generations to come.
